Melanie Rolfes and Michael Zavison are a one-of-a-kind industrial colorist team.
Melanie and Michael met as two people, but brought their styles together as artists. Melanie loved the use of European colors. Michael had developed his abstract, industrial style for years in working as an interior and set designer.
Melanie and Michael give insight on their inspiration, process, and how to make a partnership work. Keep an ear out for their words of wisdom and personal insights that they have gained on their journey .
Using steel, paint and plaster, their pieces are atmospheric, moody and timeless; transforming spaces into unique personal sanctuaries whilst Melanie’s desire to distill emotions by way of color “atmospheric impressions” takes those who experience their work on a journey.
