Kaelin Porter

Okae Studio is led by Kaelin Porter, a human-centered trend researcher that is captivated by all things color, material and textile. After years of craft-focused production, Kaelin was trained in design thinking and multi-disciplinary design principles. This led her to experiences with boutique industrial design studios, luxury custom carpet mills, and food system corporate innovation teams. Her continued pursuit is to blend trends and innovation into textiles. After taking a handweaving workshop in 2018, she now uses a floor loom and yarn as her primary means of creation and design.
